Cameras like the Panasonic AG-HVX200 (82mm) or AG-AC90 (49mm) adapt to our lenses with a step ring, an 82-72mm step-down ring into the 72mm lens, or a 49-52mm step-up ring into the 52mm lens. Some vignetting on the step-down combo is a known tradeoff, not a defect.

Almost always a working-distance issue, the camera's focus sensor sits too close to the add-on lens once it's mounted. A handful of cameras (HC-X1500, HC-X2000, AG-AC160, AG-DVX200) commonly need a macro filter or spacer ring to fix it. Tell us your setup if you're not sure.

Just the thread diameter, matched to your camera. Same 0.3x factor and the same glass across every size, larger sizes generally hold up a little better at the edges on bigger sensors, but which one you need comes down to what fits your camera, not which is "better."
