Quick answer

Yes. Realm has the PowerPlay in stock right now. If you're asking because ImmersionRC's own website looks dead, or another listing shows sold out, that's real: ImmersionRC formally ceased trading in February 2026. But the product didn't go anywhere — Orqa, who'd already owned ImmersionRC since 2022, kept building it, and still does.

Why It Looks Discontinued

A couple of real things line up to make the PowerPlay look gone. ImmersionRC's own site now shows nothing but a shutdown notice. Some listings for it elsewhere show sold out. If you've run into either of those, it's a reasonable thing to assume — the product just isn't made by the company whose name you searched anymore.

Why: ImmersionRC Formally Shut Down in February 2026

Orqa, a Croatian FPV company founded in 2018, acquired ImmersionRC outright in 2022 — the Swiss company that built the PowerPlay and the rest of its FPV lineup. For the next four years, ImmersionRC kept its own site running, openly describing itself as merged with Orqa, its shop pointing straight to Orqa's own store.

In February 2026, ImmersionRC formally closed. Its website today shows one line: "ImmersionRC has ceased trading", directing anyone who needs support or firmware for legacy ImmersionRC gear to Orqa instead. That's the actual, dateable reason new PowerPlay units stopped carrying ImmersionRC's name and boot logo — there's no longer a company called ImmersionRC to put on the box. The product lives on, made and supported by the company that already owned it.

So, Is There a Good Alternative?

Not one we'd point you to. The PowerPlay hasn't gotten worse or stopped being made — it just changed hands from a company that closed to the one that already owned it. There's nothing to replace it with, because it's still here, still the same hardware, still doing the same job.

Is This Still a Genuine PowerPlay?

Yes. The PowerPlay hasn't changed hands in some backroom deal — Orqa has owned and built it since 2022, four years before ImmersionRC closed. A unit without the printed logo or boot splash isn't a knockoff or a downgrade. It's the same product, now sold under the name of the company that's actually been making it the whole time. Bought yours from Realm and it doesn't show the ImmersionRC logo? That's expected — it's still the original PowerPlay, same specs, same manufacturer, nothing missing.

Does This Affect Cables, Batteries, or Anything Else You Already Own?

No. Every cable and battery we sell for the PowerPlay works with both the older ImmersionRC-branded units and the newer ones. The A/V input, the pinout, the battery sled — all identical. Nothing about your setup needs to change because of this.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the ImmersionRC PowerPlay still available?

Yes. Realm carries it in stock. It can look discontinued because ImmersionRC itself closed in February 2026, but the product is still made — by Orqa, who owned ImmersionRC since 2022 and kept building it.

Is there a good alternative to the ImmersionRC PowerPlay?

Not one we'd recommend switching to. It's still in production and still does the job it always did — there's no need to replace it with something else.

Is ImmersionRC going out of business?

It already has — ImmersionRC formally ceased trading in February 2026. That's not the same as the PowerPlay disappearing, though: Orqa has made and supported it since acquiring ImmersionRC in 2022, years before the shutdown, and continues to today.

Why doesn't my new PowerPlay have the ImmersionRC logo on the boot screen?

Because it shipped after ImmersionRC closed. Older stock, made while ImmersionRC still existed, still shows the name and boot splash; newer stock doesn't, since there's no longer a company by that name to represent. Same hardware either way.

Is my PowerPlay fake if it doesn't say ImmersionRC?

No. It's the same product from the same manufacturer, just under a different name on the case. If you want to double-check what you've got, contact us with your unit and we'll confirm it.

What's the difference between an ORQA PowerPlay and an ImmersionRC PowerPlay?

Branding only. Hardware, recording specs, and cable/battery compatibility are identical between the two.

Who makes the PowerPlay now?

ORQA. They acquired ImmersionRC in 2022, ran it as a merged brand for four years, then ImmersionRC formally closed in 2026 — the PowerPlay is now sold as an ORQA product.

Where do I get support for other ImmersionRC gear, like rapidFIRE or Ghost?

Not from Realm — we only sell the PowerPlay. For firmware, downloads, or support on other ImmersionRC products, Orqa now handles it directly: Orqa Support →
